Prologue on Reading

Reading is diving into a universe all it's own, Leaving behind the ringing thoughts which echo in your mind, Warning of upcoming deadlines, Whispers of importances long forgotten. I find myself falling into farfetched stories, Of impossible people, Places that have and will never exist. If I'm going to cut loose from my world, I want one starkly different to enter. That being said, My interests follow my taste. Until I try a new food, There's no knowing if it's appealing. And if someone bothered to cook it, I have only to enjoy the dish as the chef intended it. To read is one of my greatest happinesses, But also a luxury of time, In a life where one must remain anchored, In order to stay afloat. Casting off from reality is dangerous at a school, Where burying your head in the minutia of work is applauded. Making time is what seperates me from a machine. A machine works faster, harder, and without breaks. What I bring to the table is experiences
